Release of Deploy 1.4 RC1

Filed under: Uncategorized — Oscar Godson @ 3:52 am

Today I am releasing the first release candidate for Deploy* 1.4. It has a ton more features and the internals are much, much different.

For a list of all the current changes: http://projectdeploy.org/beta/docs/CHANGE_LOG.txt

For a list for the roadmap (I’m working on making this a little nicer): http://projectdeploy.org/beta/docs/ROADMAP.txt

You can get to the beta by going to http://projectdeploy.org/beta

I’m not releasing a download for it for at least a week until I make sure everything is safe for all OS. I have found an infinite loop on Mac OS X when trying to create a WP directory. @robingavin and @stevejt on twitter have been trying to help and get it working but no luck yet. If you would like to help please get in touch with me through twitter ( @oscargodson [personal twitter & more updates] || @projectdeploy [ only Deploy* updates ] ) or email

  1. Hey..

I’m looking forward to this release!

Since this project is open-source I downloaded the source code and am making a custom framework called the x2 framework, I hope to begin work on it soon.

I will let you know how it works out. :)

  3. Hey Oscar,

I suppose I should wait for RC2 and then start work, do you think that’s a good idea? :)

  4. I personally suggest waiting until RC2 just because how it actually generates projects will completely different and hopefully better performance. ;)

  5. Ok Oscar, sounds good.

    I will wait for RC2.

Since I am fairly new to PHP this will be a great learning experience.
